Resumen:	Mañke was soaring above the mountains when a dense fog descended over everything. On returning to his nest, he heard a loud and strange noise. It was October 13, and a Uruguayan plane had just crashed into the frozen peaks of the Andes. The bird witnessed the suffering of the survivors and the hard trials that they had to overcome, while the other condors remained indifferent to the destiny of the humans. But Mañke decided that he would not abandon these brave men until he saw them safe, even when the mountain became their tomb and the rest of the world had given them up for dead.
